Custom Tooling Fixes Since 1968
Spec Tool began in a garage in 1968. By 1972, we moved into our first commercial building, and in 1977, we purchased property in Sparta, Michigan. In 1985, we built a brand new manufacturing building on the property in Sparta dedicated to Specialty Carbide tooling and Tool Holding.
Today, our operation includes two buildings and approximately 36,000 square feet of manufacturing space, giving us the capacity to solve nearly any tooling challenge. Our team has grown to more than 70 full-time employees, including specialists with 40+ years of cutting tool engineering experience. With in-house engineering, CAD/CAM capabilities, and application specialists, we deliver tooling solutions designed around each customer's specific needs.
